Golden Princess

Face, hands and foots are made from modelling clay and painted with acrylic paint. Eyes are from glass diamonds and painted also with acrylic paint.

Dress is from old paper painted with golden acrylic paint. Everything else is like in dolls in previous post.

This lady is not perfect, but I'm still learning and experimenting.

This white flower is from field in place where I'm living now, while I have my practice.

Elves or fairies

It's time of end-of-term examinations, but I've found some time to make something. From wire, modeling clay, acrylic paint,...

...cotton wool, thread...

... and fabrics:

The hardest thing in making dolls or puppets, is to start doing it. I think so.

Fairies wings

Busy weeks at the University, busy weekend at home. I have made some pairs of wings for fairies for our play - William Shakespeare: Midsummer Night Dream.

They are made from cellophane, tulle, half-steel wire and acrylic paint. They are glued with hot glue and sewn to wire. Plain cellophane in the beginning was ironed to get it's special facture.

We had a flood here in Poland, in Cracow. Now we're looking in the sky, hope it won't rain too much again, because it was dangerous.

Rainy days

My new bracelets: one green, one brown and one... with the butterfly:)

Fairy earrings:

It is raining from 1 May afternoon.

It is cold and wet. In my parents house there is a fireplace, my bro lighted the fire last weekend. I remember this heat now when I'm in this cold city.

Following the presentation of "Midsummer Night's Dream" performed by our academic circle, I made a donkey mask with paper marche. The mask was painted with acrylic paints and oil.

Glass pendants

Here is a pendant made of glass found on beach in Croatia (long time ago), and copper tape covered with glue.

After cutting and sticking tape on glass I soldered circles of wire and ... here are these ugly pendants.

All of them landed on my treasure (trash, hanged man - in the opinion of different people) tree.

1940 - 2010

Cracow is in mourning, like the whole of Poland. Solidarity and patriotism of the people here is noticeable in almost every window.

The president will be burried this Sunday on the Wawel Hill. Say goodbye to him arriving VIPs from Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and the world, even Barack Obama.

Cracow is a small city (700 000 people, 300 000 commuting students). To contain half of the population of the Poland and all this Great people may be challenging.
